Shlomi Nahmani (b.1979), lives and works in Tel Aviv. Graduated from the Visual Communication Department at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (2005), Co-founder of “The-Studio”, a graphic design, web, and branding agency (2010).
Nahmani’s printmaking artworks portrait the Israeli urban nature scenery, the intimate relations between the local architecture and the local vegetation. All of the prints are made in the drypoint technique, the most basic etching method.
Nahmani’s passion for drypoint printmaking and Israeli nature drawing is driven by the landscape drawings of artists who have inspired him since a young age, such as Hermann Struck, Anna Ticho, Ofer Lalush, and Walid Abu Shakra.
