He is a graduate of the Department of Visual Communication at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2005).<br \/>\nCo-founder of The-Studio, a design agency specializing in graphic design, web, and branding (est. 2010).<\/p>\n<p>Nahmani\u2019s love for Hebrew literature and depictions of local nature was shaped early on by landscape artists who inspired him from a young age, such as Hermann Struck, Anna Ticho, Ofer Lellouche, and Walid Abu Shakra.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, he wrote and illustrated the children\u2019s poetry book <a href=\"https:\/\/shlominahmani.com\/%d7%a2%d7%a0%d7%99%d7%99%d7%a0%d7%99-%d7%9e%d7%a9%d7%a4%d7%97%d7%94\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Family Affairs<\/a> (Tangier Publishing), which was met with wide acclaim.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9904544 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"9904544\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"798\" height=\"788\" src=\"https:\/\/shlominahmani.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Shlomi.jpg\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-423\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shlominahmani.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Shlomi.jpg 798w, https:\/\/shlominahmani.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Shlomi-300x296.jpg 300w, https:\/\/shlominahmani.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Shlomi-768x758.jpg 768w, https:\/\/shlominahmani.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Shlomi-600x592.jpg 600w, https:\/\/shlominahmani.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Shlomi-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 798px) 100vw, 798px\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7708266 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"7708266\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9fecdce elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9fecdce\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Artist Statement<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fb2f1e2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fb2f1e2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I was born and raised in Jerusalem, in the Katamonim neighborhood of the 1980s.<br \/>\nFrom my parents\u2019 balcony stretched a wide, mountainous view. In the foreground stood two towering cypress trees.<br \/>\nThis was the landscape of my childhood, etched deeply into my memory. The two cypresses at my parents\u2019 home are soon to be cut down to make way for a construction project, as are the distant hills, slowly devoured by expanding development.<br \/>\nThis widespread phenomenon\u2014of familiar landscapes disappearing and being replaced by ones in which nature plays a lesser role\u2014lies at the heart of my artistic practice. Most of my etchings contemplate the Israeli landscape from a romantic, almost apocalyptic perspective: documenting it just before its final disappearance.<\/p>\n<p> My choice to work in the technique of etching is also rooted in this approach\u2014an artistic act that returns to primal drawing, the kind often dismissed in certain postmodern circles as no longer \u201ctruly\u201d art. In recent years, I\u2019ve also begun to create portraits of my cultural heroes\u2014figures who, like the local landscape, are gradually fading: some into old age, others into cultural oblivion. All my etchings are made using the drypoint method\u2014the most basic and physical of all printmaking techniques.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
